Web Design
Bromley College
When I joined Bromley College, they had recently had a new website template designed by Contrapositive. Page content was mostly text-based. I was tasked with adding more multimedia and functionality to individual sections. See the links below for examples of areas I developed:
Campus facilities galleryChannel landing pages
Subject areas
Student stories
Front page Flash slider - animation updated regularly
Student Space
I redesigned the Bromley College student intranet, creating a community-driven page with a notice and advert board, gallery, events calendar, polls and useful information about all aspects of college life. It is now a busy site run in conjunction with various staff teams who add events, sport fixtures, notices and upload student photos from events.
This is an internal site so unfortunately can not be viewed externally. Please click the picture for a gallery of screenshots.
Bromley College Annual Review 08/09
I designed, coded and implemented the College's first online annual review. Previously this was published entirely in a print format. The new version reached a far wider audience, saved the college money and received much positive feedback.
The review features interactive charts, events gallery and several JQuery applications.
The 2009/10 annual review is currently in production in a similar format.
Vision Science
Website for an Ophthalmology conference, to share information and provide a platform for submitting abstracts and applications.
Howletts Explorer
Howletts Explorer is a Flash-based edutainment CD produced as the final project on my BSc in Multimedia Technology and Design. Produced by a team of 4, the CD was designed in conjunction with Howletts Zoo, Canterbury. It features 3 games and 4 interactive quizzes. 20 factsheets on the most engandered animals at Howletts each include a sgallery, video and keeper interview.
As project manager I was responsible for directing filming and interviews, all menu graphics and animation, factsheets, interactive maps and all photography. The application was made in Actionscript 2 and XML.
