Ghastly Games

Brief: Prepare a series of simple wire-frames for an interactive quiz application for either the CBeebies or CBBC audience.

I chose to produce a game based on Terry Deary's Horrible Histories books, as CBBC had just started airing a new series also based on them. I wanted the quiz to be as interactive and humourous as possible to match the fun yet educational theme of the books.

As game has 'stages' that are completed to reach a final goal, a simple nickname-based logon would be needed so that the user can save their progress and to allow more than one user to play the game on the computer.

Players collect a piece of a broken urn with every age completed.

Possible game ideas, all fully interactive - dragging and dropping elements, and fully animated.

When game is completed, ie, all parts of the urn have been collected, player is rewarded with short victory film. As their nickname is being carved onto the vase, other figures on it are fighting, resulting in the urn knocking over and smashing again.
